HOW TO GET THERE.

There are three local airports: Clermont-Ferrand (1 hour 15 mins from Ambert), Lyon (2 hours 15mins from Ambert) and St.Etienne (1 hour 30 mins from Ambert). EasyJet does low cost flights from Stansted to Lyon. Car hire is reasonably cheap.

Alternatively you can motor through France using motorways or main roads according to your choice. We would be pleased to advise you on recommended routes should you so wish. (Also, see Maps page).
